Lexi and Shelby of Becoming Designs Events had an idea to create a styled elopement that focused on the couple and no one else. "The overall vision that we wanted to capture was a pure and romantic moment for two women who are deeply in love," Lexi and Shelby say. "We wanted the atmosphere of the night to capture the romance between the two so everything we did and set up was supposed to feel natural for them."

"We chose a local park beach. The couple are both very adventurous and began their marriage in Hawaii around the beach, so we thought it
fit them and their personality." Lexi and Shelby explain. On top of the fact that the beach was fitting for the couple, beaches are often viewed as highly romantic places. Many wish to walk hand-in-hand with their significant other on the beach with the ocean stretching out to infinity. Therefore, this local beach was a perfect fit for the feel of this shoot!

The theme and color scheme for the shoot came from the beach itself. "The beach is a blank canvas, but easily invites the boho aesthetic," Lexi and Shelby admit. "We chose all neutrals since the beach itself is neutral." Since the boho theme typically plays off natural colors, browns and tans work beautifully with the style Lexi and Shelby were going for in this shoot! It also matched the brides' styles–as they both enjoy the simpler things in life–so bright and flashy colors wouldn't make sense for them.

Lexi and Shelby wanted all the decor to match and enhance the shoot. To keep with the adventurous side of the brides, the stationery was designed to be a map of the beach as if they were looking for the hidden treasure that is love. The peacock chairs, rug and pampas grass fit the theme and color scheme wonderfully. And the flowers from Thrive Floral Designs couldn't have been better curated! Lexi and Shelby rave, "Tatiana (the florist) did an amazing job! The dried floral played into the boho, but the fresh floral balanced it out making it look romantic and elegant."

Everything about the brides was styled to show their personalities. The makeup and hair were kept simple but make both the brides look absolutely stunning. And we are in love with that flower crown! The attire was chosen to fit the boho theme while also bringing the brides' personalities to life. "The two went perfectly together. Mallory felt so confident in her jumpsuit which was so awesome to see," Lexi and Shelby gush. We think every detail of this shoot came together beautifully!
