Separate schools couldn’t keep these two lovers apart! Even though Samantha attended a high school that was ten minutes away from Ryan’s, their paths didn’t cross until he reached out via social media. From there, the two began chatting, and the rest is history! After years of being together, Ryan popped the question to Samantha after attending a Milwaukee Brewers baseball game and an evening exploring the city. This proposal story sounds like a home run to us!
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple had to push their original June wedding date to September. But the change in date didn’t stop them from celebrating outdoors with nearly 300 members of their family and friends!
Samantha first got an image of her gown when she accompanied another friend on her bridal shopping trip. Years later, the gown she had seen was still stuck in her mind. She went to multiple bridal shops before finding the one that best fit what she was looking for!
What we love
Because Samantha and Ryan didn’t use a traditional venue, they had to supply a lot of their resources themselves. D.I.Y. touches abound in this ceremony, including the painted barrels and French doors, the hand-crafted farmhouse tables and window signs!
Advice from the couple
Samantha says, “There is always drama when it comes to wedding planning--you truly will find out who is there to support you--but remember when it is all said and done, nothing matters but the relationship you have with your husband/wife.”
