"Stonegate Manor is absolutely beautiful! My husband and I got married in the Fairy Garden, which is one of their three ceremony spots on the property! I have never worked with a better group of people! Prudy, Tom and Jen are next to none. Their customer service and how they care for their brides made our decision very easy. The Stonegate team is willing to do whatever they can to make your dreams come true. I asked them many different questions about moving or changing something and they were always open to it and always searched for a way to make it work. You will NOT be disappointed if you choose to have the biggest day of your life at Stonegate Manor. It was the best decision we made for our wedding."

-Lauren, 2019 bride

Tie the knot in one of Southwest Michigan's most stunning historical spots! The Stonegate Manor is a venue with a beautifully restored manor house built in the 1800s. Surrounded by twenty-seven acres of natural woods and enchanting gardens, this gorgeous venue is truly timeless. Choose between three ceremony spaces to say 'I do': the Fairy Garden, the Pergola and the Riverside Room. Read on to hear from Stonegate's manager, Prudy Nelson, to learn more about this lovely venue!

Tell us more about Stonegate Manor.

"A historic estate venue in Southwest Michigan, Stonegate Manor is 27 acres of woods, gardens and manicured lawn crowned by the 1847 Manor House. Our most popular ceremony site, the Fairy Garden is a lovely clearing in the woods surrounded by hostas, ferns and native foliage. For couples who prefer a more classic, formal look, the Pergola on the lawn with its moss-covered, winding brick path is a perfect spot to exchange vows. The Manor House has that 'wow' factor of breathtaking details lovingly restored to its original beauty. Last but not least, the Riverside Room with its crystal chandeliers, vintage touches and air-conditioning is the perfect place to celebrate and dance the night away."

Why should a bride choose you?

"We have it all and more! Timeless elegance, classic details, natural beauty with the comforts of today, including air-conditioning! Naturally beautiful outdoor spaces with lots and lots of room for cocktails, games and conversation. The Manor House is a photographer’s dream with nooks and crannies everywhere to create amazing photos. Loaded with antiques but with all the modern amenities, it is a great place to gather with family for the pre-celebration or for the wedding party to get ready. The spacious Wedding Cottage is also a beautiful and comfortable space for the wedding party to get ready. And the modern comforts of the Riverside Room create a lovely haven from those hot summer days. Reminders of the estate’s historic significance add to the experience and the photo ops! There is a quaint wooden bridge over a pond, stone pillars, gates and more."

Do you have anything exciting you would like to share?

"We are very proud of the face we have been open for three seasons and all three we have won both Wedding Wire’s Couple’s Choice awards and the Knot’s Best of Weddings awards. We were recently voted Best Local Wedding Venue by the local community. This is amazing for a new venue! However, we are even more proud of the fact we received twenty-seven 5-Star awards from clients this past season alone."

What inspires you to be in the wedding industry?

"A few years ago, Tom and I started a project in Uganda to support and educate orphans and other vulnerable children. We started a wedding china rental business to raise funds for the organization. I so enjoyed helping couples create a memorable and lovely event that I needed more!"

What do you love most about working with couples?

"If you read our reviews, you will see a common theme of 'relationship.' I start thinking of couples as family and I want their wedding to be the best it can be and will do whatever I can to make that happen. The joy I see when it all comes together makes it all worthwhile."
