This Southern Indiana Barn Micro Wedding is Intimate and Lovely: The Real Wedding of Hope and Nathan Reidy

Hope and Nathan were high school sweethearts that felt the spark of true love! The couple dated for a few years before it was time to take the next step. The pair was at a family photo session when Nathan surprised Hope by dropping to one knee! “I immediately started crying and, of course, said yes instantly,” Hope says.

The pair immediately began looking at spaces and fell in love with their dream venue, The Barn at Hamner Ridge. But due to COVID-19, Hope and Nathan had to reschedule their ceremony. “After we rescheduled, I reached back out asking if we could still come to the barn and celebrate 'our day.' With no hesitation, they said yes and offered to help us still make it our day however we needed.”

While Hope bought two different dresses to wear for her rescheduled wedding, she decided to buy a simpler dress just to celebrate their date. We love the sweet elegance of the gown's open back!

What we love

The pair celebrated their original wedding date with class--including doing a mock first dance and passing love letters to each other. “As we walked out to go to another spot to take pictures a huge rainbow went over us and the barn,” Hope added. “As we both see a rainbow as a promise, we were so moved by seeing this on what would have been our day.”

Advice from the couple

Hope’s biggest piece of advice? Go with the flow! “Give yourself tons of time to change your mind and change it again, do as much yourself as you can--not only do you save tons of money but you feel closer with your experience,” she says. “And above all, talk to your partner and lean on them. Especially during this crazy time we are in now, I could not have made it without Nathan.”
