What we love most about style shoots is that the vendors get to come together and show off their collective talents, free from the constraints of a real wedding. The inspiration for this timeless shoot was dreamed up by Tori Lynn Photography. Alongside the rest of the team, Tori worked to create a styled wedding that incorporated some of the top trends of 2019 and 2020 including mauve tones seen throughout the shoot, photographed by Shelby Jane Photography.

The team explains the reason for selecting the venue by saying, "The Mill Top, a building rich in history, offers couples the allure of timeless romance in a beautiful venue with exposed brick and wood rafters, softened with twinkle lights, elegant florals and rustic furnishings. With an 'industrial-historic-meets-urban-chic' vibe, The Mill Top is the perfect modern setting to create your own historical moment."

An often requested color palette for this vendor team, mauve was an easy choice to infuse into this shoot. One of the elements this color shone through with was the florals. The team notes, "Since it was a spring shoot we wanted to showcase the best flowers to use during the spring season. We used mauve-toned garden roses, anemones, cappuccino colored carnations, astrantia, lisanthus, hypericum berries and wild smilax." The cake also sported this trendy color palette. They explain, "Mauve set the inspirational tone for this styled shoot and we loved the idea of incorporating this color into the cake as a watercolor effect to really play into its soft, romantic nature. The tiers are separated by a dark green tier which ties into the hints of green seen in the groom’s tie and the greenery incorporated throughout the floral design. Working with the floral designer, we created a cascading waterfall of mauve and vintage white blooms that added such beautiful dramatic interest against the soft textural backdrop of the cake design."

With the shoot's overall romantic mood, Something Blue Stylists kept the model's hair soft yet defined. The makeup look was inspired by the gorgeous floral arrangements and included those reoccurring mauve tones.

Another great aspect of this shoot is the combination of new and old details. From the sweetheart table set with vintage china to the modern gold flatware and organic edge plates, this shoot boasts a timeless style while still including those trendy, modern vibes!
