Travel across land and sea to get a taste of Europe, right at home! Sandra of DreamBox Photography wanted to bring a little bit of old-world European style home to the Midwest. The idea for this “Grecian Goddess” style came after Sandra got home from her first solo trip to Greece. Finding the perfect location to shoot in Michigan, Sandra got to work to create a stunning display of old-world charm!

Not only are these desserts simply stunning, but they also are fit for any Greek get together! Baklava and macarons are perfect bite-sized European treats, ready to eat.

This white and gold color palette got a touch of nature with green accents. Sandra wanted to keep the colors clean for a more traditional Grecian vibe. A cascading combination of white and taupe roses touched on the current trend of long and elegant bouquets.

A huge highlight of this shoot is the bride’s dress. The team wanted to maintain an elegant, Greek-style in all aspects of the models. Sandra explains, “The dress is part modern and part traditional, with ‘goddess’ vibes that’s still wearable.” The hair and makeup of the bride and bridesmaids were kept muted to highlight their natural features. We love the unique hair jewelry and headpieces that add a touch of sparkle to the shoot!

The unique design of the Michigan Capitol Building drew the team in, and its rareness as a wedding venue was a plus. Sandra adds, “The most difficult part of this shoot was not having the tourists in the pictures.”
