A Victorian Garden Wedding Inspiration Shoot

HIDDEN GEM
This Victorian Garden Wedding Inspiration Shoot was a collaboration between Social Butterfly, Artful Blooms florist, and Eric Rudd Photography. As local wedding vendors and residents, they feel that Bloomington, Indiana is a hidden gem in the Midwest so, naturally, it was the ideal setting for a Victorian Garden inspiration shoot.

The team of local wedding professionals endeavored to showcase the natural beauty of the setting and to demonstrate their hometown pride, while showing brides that it is a desirable location for their special day!

ANTIQUE CHARM
The table design was inspired by a piece of antique china that Lauren Olson, Owner and Executive Planner with Social Butterfly, recently inherited. Antique charm and garden elegance inspired the use of other antique elements such as the gold painted table lamp that held up the centerpiece. The centerpiece was composed of Yves Piaget dark pink garden roses, cream hydrangea and hanging green amaranth.

To balance out the antique pieces, several small blue vases were used to add a pop of color. The glass highlighted the vibrant turquoise hues in the china and contrasted flawlessly with the white and gold palette of the table! The perfect finish to the inspired Victorian Garden look was the two unique and coordinating chair covers: one, a more traditional floor length cover with enchanting white flowers, the other, chic and modern, adorned with floral rosettes.

HAPPY COUPLE
The bride’s bouquet was composed of exquisite Yves Piaget dark pink garden roses, hot pink garden spray roses, blood red amaranth, and Queen Anne’s lace which impeccably complimented her short ivory dress.  She and the groom, sporting a coordinating airy linen suit, shared an intimate moment when the groom took part of a leaf from the garden to make a wedding band for his bride.

SWEET LOVE
Boasting a beautiful backdrop of white yucca blossoms hanging from an inviting shade tree, which were grown on-site in our host’s garden, was the sweets table. The sweets table had an assortment of desserts that included cupcakes decorated with adorable hearts, scones, and a tasty lemon meringue pie. To wash down all these scrumptious treats were carafes filled with two different types of lemonade with berries, mint leaves, and extra lemons for garnishing. To add a final bit of flare to this delightful table, a banner was hung over the pale pink linen that read: Sweet Love.
