A Warm, Beachy Warren Dunes E-Session: The Engagement of Taegan and Matthew

Photos ByBrit Rader Photography

Despite meeting in college and Matthew being interested in dating Taegan, the two didn't get together until after college when they reconnected on social media. While hiking on their first vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Taegan asked someone to take their photo by a waterfall during their hike. Matt took this as an opportunity to get down on one knee and ask her to marry him!

Taegan's sister Kaelin helped Matt pick out the ring to ensure it was something Taegan would like. "It’s a white gold Tiffany mounting with a cushion solitaire. I love it because I get to dress it up with different styled bands once we get married. It leaves my options open to choose what wedding band I want!" Taegan explains. We think her ring is gorgeous and very versatile with clothing as well as bands.

When looking at photographers, Taegan had a close friend who had hired Brit to capture her wedding photos. Taegan gushes, "We loved the way her photos look so natural and the editing isn’t too drastic or altering in any way!" The happy couple chose Warren Dunes for their e-session location. It just seemed right after they had visited the dunes for Mother's Day. They also chose to wear outfits that matched the color scheme for their wedding to tease their guests when they used the photos on their save-the-date cards.

"As a girl, I’ve dreamt about my wedding day for years. But, we are slowly figuring out what we both want and don’t want for our big day, together!" Taegan shares. "My mom bought me a wedding planner on Amazon and it has been a godsend!" She is mostly looking forward to seeing the small things that she may miss or take advantage of on her wedding day to be forever captured in the photos she gets back.
