Breanne and Micah met as early as high school, and it was on a family vacation to a place generations of Breanne’s family had been visiting that Micah proposed. “We went for a walk on the beach at sunset and he asked me then!” Breanne says. “ It was a perfect day!”

From a perfect engagement to planning a perfect wedding, Breanne didn’t know what she had in store for her and Micah. She says, "Staying on top of all of the details was sometimes challenging. There are so many details that go into a wedding and people to contact! I did not realize just how much went into planning! For the most part, I thought planning was a lot of fun and had very minimal stress. I was lucky to have so much help from family and friends!”

How did this bride accomplish her planning goals? Advice from recently married friends, Pinterest and vendor searches on Facebook. WeddingDay Magazine also played a key role, as it was the first magazine she received and proved to be a valuable resource.

She says, “I was handed a copy of WeddingDay magazine by multiple vendors and at bridal expos! I looked through the magazine often and found it helpful to see the different vendors in the area while getting ideas about what I wanted for my big day.” Another invaluable resource was her maid-of-honor and sister. “My sister also made me a binder to keep everything organized and together! It definitely came in handy and helped me keep things straight!”

Although Breanne initially had an idea of what she wanted, she solidified her vision as planning took shape. “I always knew I wanted a cross behind us when we got married—so that we were at the foot of the cross—and also that I wanted peonies in my bouquet,” she says. “Besides that, I didn’t have much that I really knew I wanted for sure!”

Shades of pinks and champagnes, different styles of bridesmaid dresses, and an abundance of gorgeous peonies completed the beautiful vision that resulted. Additional florals featuring mums, spray roses, greenery, tulips, grasses, hydrangeas, and greenery added to the romantic atmosphere she desired. Wooden boxes and lanterns were tiny details that also added a unique touch.

The couple’s venue also added to the breathtaking ambience. “I fell in love with the Market as soon as I saw it,” Breanne says. “I always heard great things about their food but the venue was exactly what I wanted. I envisioned candlelight and a romantic vibe and I loved the look of The Market and the lighting! It is a beautiful venue and in a great area. I also really wanted to find a venue that was close to hotels since I had guests traveling in.”

Breanne bought her gorgeous Essence of Australia gown from Something Blue Bridal, falling in love with it the second she tried it one. “I tried on just about every style of dress but as soon as I tried on my dress, I knew it was the one!” she says.

The rest of the bridal party look came together with a little help from her mom and color schemes she saw on Pinterest. “I think it looks romantic and very sharp!” she says. “ I also wanted all of my bridesmaids to feel beautiful and comfortable. I liked the idea of using different shades of pinks and champagnes so that each girl had a dress and dress color that looked good on them! Navy suits are very in and I love the look of them!”

What We Love

We love the simple things this couple fondly recalls from their wedding. “I heard great things about our short and sweet ceremony, the beautiful venue and the late-night snacks,” Breanna says. “ I think that overall, the day just went so well and was so much fun! We heard so many compliments about what a fun day it was! We loved spending the day with all of our families and friends. They made the day so carefree and fun!"
