Molly and Weston first met each other on their interview day for IU School of Medicine. “We both ended up going to IU School of Medicine and being placed at the Evansville campus for the first two years of medical school,” says Molly. “Towards the end of the semester our first year, he started asking me to study with him and going to church with me on Sunday mornings...the rest is history.”

How did the groom-to-be propose? “Weston has been saving for an engagement ring for his future wife since he was a little kid working on his family’s farm.” explains Molly. “It was only fitting for him to propose there as well. He wrapped lights around a bunch of the trees...It was a total surprise and absolutely beautiful.”

Molly grew up in gorgeous Bloomington, Indiana and always knew she wanted to her wedding there. “The sample gates and that area around campus is so beautiful,” she says.

Morgan says, “I think designing the wedding program, invitations, dinner menu, etc was one of the hardest things that I had to tackle myself. Another would be collecting all of the addresses for our guests which was also challenging. The rest of it, Morgan (of Ashley Weddings & Events) and my mom really took care of...I am very grateful to have them.” Molly also felt fortunate to have her harp teacher play at her wedding as she had played the harp growing up.

Advice From the Bride

“I would say enjoy the process,” says Molly. “It is easy to get bogged down with all of the little tasks and things you need to do. Your wedding day may not be absolutely perfect, and that is ok. You are marrying the love of your life, and that is truly what matters.”

How did this bride use WeddingDay Magazine?

Molly says, “I did review some of the weddings that were featured on WeddingDay Magazine to get inspiration from for my wedding. I also liked to see which vendors people used for their wedding to get a better idea of who I would like to use in our wedding. It is a super cute magazine that helped me come up with lots of great ideas.”
