There’s nothing quite like a beautiful, historic venue offering a bride and groom a multitude of options and extensive space for the wedding of their dreams.

Located in southwest Michigan and nestled among 27 sprawling acres of wooded property, the elegant, country estate that is Stonegate Manor will mesmerize you with its charm and timelessness. We turned to Cheri Heward of Small Town Wedding to plan a magical day at our exclusive Stonegate Manor style shoot, highlighting all the wonderful features that make this venue as unique as it is beautiful.

“We pictured an enchanting evening with nature in mind,” says Cheri. “The allure of this venue is its ability to utilize the outdoors for a pure, organic look.”

Prudy Barrett Nelson, owner of Stonegate Manor says, “Our three ceremony sites—the wooded Fairy Garden, the classic Pergola and the quaint Bridge—provide options to suit your style. Two reception venues also provide options—the climate-controlled Riverside Room or an outdoor, tented reception at the back of the property by the woods. The 1847 Manor House provides a place for friends and family to gather during the day and awesome pictures or can be used as on-site lodging.”

"A lot of greens were used to complement the Fairy Garden with its enchantment,” says Cheri. White Button Mums, eucalyptus, moss and white roses also added to the dreamy, organic look. The rustic farm table and cross back chairs also fit beautifully into the natural setting.

The bride wore an elegant gown with simple lines and an equally simple updo. A natural makeup palette designed by True Beauty by Dana highlighted her naturally beautiful features and was a nod to the organic nature of the shoot.
