We're Loving the Woodsy Greens of this Indianapolis Wedding: The Real Wedding of Mollie and Tyler Folk

Mollie and Tyler crossed paths in their college campus’s ministry group. From then on, they’ve been inseparable! Keeping their love of their alma mater alive, Tyler proposed on Purdue’s campus underneath the bell tower. They exchanged those for wedding bells soon enough!

Mollie dreaded dress shopping. “I was worried I wouldn’t find anything that I was both comfortable in but also made me feel like a bride,” she explains. She tried on seven gowns before finding the one she knew was perfect! “I did not cry when I found 'the one', I just felt comfortable in it and it felt like me.”

The pair wanted to avoid a summer wedding to better accommodate Mollie’s nursing school schedule. They relied heavily on Pinterest for inspiration and took notes of the details they liked from other weddings to incorporate them into their own ceremony.

What we love

Tyler and Mollie read personal letters out loud to each other before they said “I do.” While this was a small addition, it gave the otherwise traditional ceremony a personal flair. “I loved having that personal touch and our guests said they loved it too,” Mollie says.

Advice from the couple

Mollie suggests that other couples not sweat the small stuff. “You don’t have to check every box or follow every suggestion you see online,” she says. “If there is something that you don’t care that much about and spending time planning it is going to stress you out, then just don’t do it. People will disagree with your choices and they will let you know that they disagree. Be prepared for this and don’t try to make others happy while you’re planning.”
