This Winter-Themed Michigan Castle Wedding is a Real Life Fairytale: The Real Wedding of Courtney and Greg Baranyai

Photos ByMegan Hannon Photography

Grown from elementary school sweethearts, Courtney and Greg’s love was simply meant to be! After growing up together, the couple separated in high school, but reconnected after college. It was a match that stood the test of time. On a wintry day, the couple drove up to one of Courtney’s favorite places, the Mackinaw Bridge, and Greg popped the question!

Courtney’s sparkling tulle gown, picked out at Becker’s Bridal, gives us some major princess vibes! “I went in with a very open mind knowing I didn’t want anything starch white,” she notes. “When I slipped that beauty on I knew it was 'the one'! And with an ivory/rose gold beaded veil to match, it was my dream look for our wedding day.”

Castle Farms's stunning gardens gave Courtney a perfect royal moment. These photos come straight from the pages of a storybook!

What we love

The couple wanted their wedding to be a magical winter fairytale. “Greg and I are total winter/outdoor people and we really incorporated our love of Northern Michigan into our special day,” Courtney says. We love the touches of golden reindeer and fresh cedar, pine, and varied eucalyptus!

Advice from the couple

Courtney advises any bride-to-be to enjoy the planning process. She adds, “As stressful as it is--when it’s over, it’s over. Enjoy everything!”
