Alyssa and Tyler have known each other for so long, neither can remember how they initially first met. The pair reconnected during a lecture event and felt sparks fly soon after. After one year of dating, the couple went on a hiking trip and Tyler popped the question to Alyssa in a secluded picnic area.

Alyssa knew she wanted a classy gown with boho vibes. “I was always drawn to all lace options, with intricate and delicate patterns,” she notes.

Alyssa and Tyler wanted to have a hands-on approach to planning, so they worked together to find their vendors themselves. “Saving things on Pinterest was probably the most helpful tool. We also used Google Docs for a lot of things, including our budget, links to things we found, etc,” Alyssa says.

what we love

This celebration was a perfect reflection of the pair because every detail was hand-picked by the couple. A few of the pair’s favorite highlights were the antique teacups, brass candlesticks and vintage decanters, all found at various Goodwills and thrift stores. “Those details were really unique and custom,” Alyssa adds.

advice from the couple

“Definitely make sure you can take a break the week of the wedding and especially the day of,” Alyssa advises. “You should be able to enjoy the event, and if you’re stressed up until the last minute, you might regret it.”
