A Whimiscal Michigan Engagement: The Engagement of Amanda and Christina

Amanda and Christina met on the Bumble app. After chatting back and forth for a short of amount of time, they both felt the instant chemistry and Christina quickly asked Amanda out.
 

When it came to the proposal, Christina not only planned a magical moment to pop the question, but she also planned a once-in-a-lifetime trip that she and Amanda had been dreaming of. Amanda adds, “She worked with an event planner to plan the most romantic proposal on the beach in Phuket, Thailand. There were roses in the shape of a heart on the beach and a beautiful table set up next to it with a bouquet of red roses. To actually propose to me, she had chosen a special poem out of a poetry book and my ring was tied to a string inside a heart that was cut out of the book!”

Amanda, of course, said yes! The couple had worked together in figuring out what types of rings they wanted. Amanda says, “We gave each other a generic idea of what we each wanted but ultimately chose each other’s rings.” Christina picked out a Verragio ring for Amanda, which was significant because it is Italian and Christina comes from an Italian family. Amanda explains picking out Christina’s ring, “She was a little more picky with her ring so Amanda custom designed hers with a special knife edge to match the style of her great grandmother’s ring.”

When it came to picking out a photographer for their engagement session, the couple really wanted a photographer who would capture them in a candid fashion. Amanda says, “We did some research online of different wedding photographers and came along Jessica Robertson and fell in love!” Jessica was able to deliver that authentic, organic feeling they were seeking!
