When Abbey Elaine Photography and Copper Jade Events discovered local vendors, Hudson Rentals and Mark Smith Farm, they knew that they had to create one of the cutest style shoots to date. The team says, “Our goal was to show versatility in style, personality and even size when it came to our girls. We were inspired by old buildings in our downtown area and knew we wanted to play off of elegant versus dilapidated and worn down for our theme.”

They also wanted to incorporate some adorable animals. They say, ‘‘Llamas and donkeys are trending right now in the wedding world and we live in the Midwest which is full of livestock and these specific animals!’’ The edgy style of the shoot created a modern vibe and the animals helped to keep it charming and down to earth.

“Our local town has some very interesting buildings that people rarely see,” says the team. “We were able to tour a couple areas downtown and we fell in love with this venue. We loved the large windows and tall ceilings. It also showcased a few little nooks and different rooms that provided different wall textures and colors that allowed us to do multiple scenes in one place.”

Sticking with the stylish, bold theme, the florals from Just Because Flowers Gifts and More offered a lush texture to the shoot. The team says, "For this shoot we wanted our florals to give more of a moody, edgy aesthetic to tie in with the edgy color palette the building's walls already provided which were darker tones browns, blacks and off white.”

The three bridal looks also show-off the creativity of this shoot. One bride fashioned a leather jacket for a cool vibe, while another bride modeled a more elegant look. The teams says, “Our second bride had a more elegant off-the-shoulder, down hairstyle that tied in with the elegance of the first dress she wore. We wanted it bold, but natural with a rose-colored lip. For her second look, we pulled her hair up in a simple updo to coincide with the distinctive patterns on her second dress.” The various bridal looks show that any style of bride can pull off a modern, edgy wedding.
