Annalisa was considered part of Hunter’s family far before he ever proposed. All throughout high school, Hunter’s sister was Annalisa’s hairstylist. When Annalisa started working at the same salon, she and Hunter crossed paths. Love was soon to follow!

What’s more dreamy than a boat ride by candlelight? Nothing in Hunter’s mind--that’s why he proposed! After that, Annalisa says she didn’t know how to start planning the wedding. But what are friends for? Her maid of honor bought her a planner to help get her started. Annalisa notes, “Pinterest can be a girl’s best friend when planning a wedding.” We love these gorgeous pictures that capture every detail--thanks, Chrystin Melanie Photography

The most stressful part of the planning process was finding a dress. Annalisa went to six different stores across two cities, but couldn’t find the right fit. She says, “Finally, one night my cousin Rosy who works for Nicole Spose in Milan, sent me a picture of a dress from their couture line by Alessandra Rinaudo. It was an amazing A-line dress, and I got to say 'yes' to my dream dress!”

What we love

Annalisa loves variety in textures, so she worked to incorporate them into every surface--including rosette, silk and sequin table cloths. “The pink napkins tied in a knot and our amazing floral arch behind our ghost head table was the icing on the cake,” she adds.

Advice from the couple

Annalisa wants future brides to know that the day really does go by fast, so enjoy your time! “Take a step back on your wedding day when you’re getting ready with your girls and think to yourself, ‘These amazing girls are here to help me celebrate our special day.’ When those doors open at church or when you walk down that aisle, it is so overwhelming, but try and look around because all those people want to be there and celebrate your new journey. At the reception stop, look around, look at your new husband and tell him how amazing it is that all these people are here for you two, no one else but the two of you.”
