A Michigan Vineyard Wedding: The Real Wedding of Amelia and Brock Ruppert

Photos ByGrace Pulver Photography

Amelia and Brock got engaged on a beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama, so of course they had to have a few shots of their wedding by the water of Lake Michigan!

When thinking about what they wanted in a wedding, this couple put their heads together to think outside the box! Amelia says, “Most of our inspiration came from Pinterest and our own creative minds. We  already knew the colors and what we wanted the general vibe of the day to be.”

Amelia didn’t have a particular dress style in mind--she tried them all! She said that in the end, her choice was a perfect fit to match up with the ceremony set in a vineyard!

Even in bad weather, this venue shined! When Amelia and Brock went to visit 12 Corners Vineyards as a potential wedding spot, they fell in love despite the rainy weather! “That winery was also the place where my husband had asked my dad if he could marry me,” Amelia adds. “Having our wedding there made everything come full circle.”

What we love

Koda, the couple’s German Shorthaired Pointer, made a guest appearance throughout the wedding. They used pictures of him for the table numbers and the cake topper was a cutout of a pointer “pointing” a bride and groom! Thanks for this gorgeous cake, Froehlich's

Advice from the couple

Amelia advises future brides to be true to themselves on their big day, regardless of what anyone else thinks. “Don’t let anyone’s expectations change your vision.”
