Ashley and Pat connected through Bumble. After their first date to a board game parlor, the pair knew there was a spark between them like no other. While on vacation in Florida with Pat’s family, he popped the question to Ashley during a walk on the beach. Sand, surf and a brand new ring make picturesque ocean memories!

Ashley knew she wanted a dress that was long and flowing but wasn’t after a specific style of dress. It took her a while to find the perfect fit for her body type, but the gown she fell in love with fit like a glove! She gushes, “It was definitely more ornate than what I had originally pictured, but I ended up loving it!”

The pair wanted less than a year’s engagement, so they had to get cracking on finding their major vendors. Ashley was drawn toward a boho theme while Pat wanted to make sure there was a lot of greenery. The touch of overflowing florals spoke true to the pair's love of nature.

What we love

Instead of lighting a traditional unity candle, Ashley and Pat decided to plant a tree to symbolize their relationship. Ashley explains, “Pat is a landscape designer and lover of the outdoors. It seemed fitting to do a tree planting to represent our love for one another and watch it grow as we grow our relationship with one another.”

Advice from the couple

This pair encourages couples to involve their family and friends in the planning process. “Ask for help on things that you don’t mind giving up the lead on, and try to be specific when asking for help,” Ashley says. “Also, listen to your mother.”
