We love an overly cute engagement session here at WeddingDay and Lynda and Ben’s engagement session, captured by Chrystin Melanie Photography, is one of those sessions that shows off why engagement sessions will remain timeless.

Lynda and Ben met through their families and Lynda says, “We have known each other for a very long time.” Nothing beats falling in love with your best friend and we love that this couple are lifelong sweethearts. Ben’s proposal was perfect. He proposed in front of all the couples’ friends. “We play beach volleyball so he popped the question on the volleyball court on the 4th of July surrounded by all of our friends," says Lynda. “It was magical!”

Keeping with the tradition of family, Lynda’s engagement ring is a family heirloom. She says, “It was passed down to me from my grandmother. It was made in the 1940s and is beautifully designed. It has great sentimental value to myself and my family and I can’t wait to have the perfect wedding band made to fit it.”

The couple chose a classic, elegant style for their engagement session attire. Ben’s sharp suit is the perfect match to Lynda’s regal, off-the-shoulder dress. Lynda says, ”I love the style.” It was ideal for the backdrop of their session and mixed elegance with industrial vibes.

Another highlight of this shoot was the natural light that Chrystin worked with. It adds an extra layer of interest and beautifully captures the couple in a natural state.
