CHARMING TWOSOME
The friendship between Danielle Roessing and George Giltner began when the two met at Purdue University in 2003.  “My sorority was across the street from his fraternity, so, naturally, the girls from my house and guys from his hung out often,” Danielle says. Over the years, the charming twosome developed a close friendship that eventually led to true love.

FIVE OF FIVE
While celebrating their five year anniversary,  George handed Danielle a box that contained a note. “George wrote about some of the great memories the two of us have had at Broad Ripple and what we enjoyed doing the most,” Danielle says. The note was labeled “1 of 5.”

The following weekend, Danielle received note 2 of 5 when she and George were visiting Chicago. The note referenced the city of Chicago, one of their most frequent getaway spots, their favorite sites and museums they visited often.
Visiting their alma mater, Purdue University, for a weekend full of football and tailgating, the two found themselves at the same restaurant where they shared their first date, where George gave Danielle note 3 of 5. “George wrote about Purdue and how we meet there, the friends that we shared and dates that we went on,” Danielle says.

While Danielle was starting to get suspicious that George was up to something, she kept to herself and let George’s plan run its course.

The fourth note referenced the importance of their home and their pets and was presented to Danielle over a romantic dinner for the two at their house.

Finally, a month after receiving the first note, Danielle received note 5 of 5 while the two were at dinner in downtown Indianapolis.  The note referenced the city where their relationship was built and where they planned on staying in the future.

After dinner, they walked around the city, and George handed Danielle one more note with a poem written on it. When Danielle looked up from the poem, George was down on one knee, asking Danielle to spend the rest of their lives together. Without a moment of hesitation, Danielle said yes!

LOVEBIRDS
On June 18, 2011, Danielle and George became husband and wife in a formal church ceremony at the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Indianapolis, followed by an elegant reception at the Indianapolis Artsgarden.

The couple shares a love of nature, so they wanted a creative garden theme in the beautiful glass atrium of the Artsgarden.  White linen tables were topped with mercury glass votive candles, birdcages filled with flowers, and flower arrangements in blue mason jars and milk glass vases.  In appreciation of their attendance, Danielle and George hand made heart shaped bird seed favors for each guest.

Wedding plans paid off as the result was everything Danielle and George hoped for: an intimate, fun celebration, one their family and friends won’t soon forget.
