Meghan and Sean had fate on their side. They met back on Halloween of 2011. Meghan was sporting a very cute orange soda costume and bumped into Sean, but the interaction was short lived. It was not until seven months later when Meghan went out with her friend to a bar near Great American Ball Park that she would run into Sean—yet again.

Sean knew he had to plan a very special proposal at the ballpark for Meghan, as the Joe Morgan statue outside the park hosts a brick with a tribute to Meghan's late father. Meghan would always take a picture with the brick every game. Meghan and Sean posed for their photo by the brick and Meghan was shocked when Sean suddenly said, "Did you enjoy your last picture as a single woman?" After that, the rest is history.

Meghan and Sean started planning the big day by hitting the ground running. She says, "Oh the planning began the next day! I was so excited to delve into the wedding planning process! As soon as I had time to celebrate with all my family and friends for the rest of the weekend, I started planning like a madwoman with my mom on Monday." Meghan locked down her venue and the rest fell into place.

With a summer wedding in mind, Meghan wanted her wedding to be as bright as possible. She easily chose her colors and theme, "I absolutely love Lily Pulitzer and her bright, vibrant and fun color scheme–especially her pink–so I knew I wanted to center our colors around bright pinks and greens, with some white, of course, to tone it down. Since our wedding was in July, I felt like I had all the freedom to make our colors as bright and summery as I wanted!"

what we love

Meghan and Sean added endless personal touches to their wedding. Here are just a few the couple included: a picture of Meghan's late father and a locket on her wedding bouquet, napkins with fun facts about Sean and Meghan, a surprise late night Skyline Chili bar and hotel bags for their guests that were full of snacks from Cincinnati.

advice from the bride

Meghan knows how quickly a wedding day can go. She says, "Take in absolutely every moment because it totally flies by. Everyone tells you that it goes fast, but it really is true. One moment your makeup is being done and the next the band is announcing that it is the last song of the night. During your ceremony or mass, look out into the crowd and really take in all the people you have in your tribe who love you, support you and want to celebrate your love for one another with you."
