Inspired by the elegant feel of Four Winds Casino South Bend’s brand new event space, Burns Special Events, our cover shoot planner, designed a high-end celebration filled with luxurious details. Playing off the rich black and gold elements already in the venue’s ballroom, Burns designed a complementary color palette using black, gold, white and a pop of copper that just breathes opulence into the shoot!

Beth Waterman, owner of Beth Waterman Photography, Ivory by Design and Ivory Foundry Weddings & Events has always been inspired by maximalist design for weddings. “I simply love maximalism. It is one of my favorite categories of décor, and I have always wanted to put together a shoot in the maximalist style,” Beth shares. “When I saw the Pantone Color of the Year, I KNEW I had to do it.” The vibrance and beauty of magenta coupled with a modern-vintage twist is what created the vision for our stunning cover shoot.

Wanting to pay tribute to the beautiful architecture throughout the city of Detroit, Amanda of ARC Design Studios planned a stunning Art Deco-inspired design for our spring/summer cover shoot. “I wanted to show that it is possible to blend touches of a historic style with modern trends in a venue that is a totally blank canvas to create something unique,” Amanda shares. As a reflection of the venue’s location, Amanda and her team incorporated bold colors like gold, teal and the Pantone Color of the Year, Viva Magenta, to revive the Art Deco style.
